Gentle bitterness, pink freshness.
Origin & variety: The grapefruit arose as a natural cross between the pomelo (Citrus maxima) and the orange (Citrus sinensis). It owes its rosé-coloured flesh to the natural plant pigment lycopene.
Taste: Juicy and refreshing, pleasantly sweet with a mild, elegant bitter note – noticeably gentler than its yellow sister. Wonderful as a breakfast fruit or in a salad.
