Fair and transparent
Where your money goes
A third for the farm,
a third for the journey,
a third for Amici Agrumi.
What you pay for a box is split into three almost equal parts. We show openly how – because a fair price is part of the spirit of Amici Agrumi.

33 %
For Jessica & Emilio
A third goes directly to Jessica and Emilio – for tending the roughly 2,000 trees, for picking and for packing. With no middlemen, and with the certainty that the harvest is sold even before it is picked.
around CHF 15 per box
-
33 %
For transport
A third is needed for the journey: it is more than 1,000 kilometres from Campobello di Mazara to Switzerland. Fresh fruit does not travel for free.
around CHF 15 per box

34 %
For Amici Agrumi
A third stays with Amici Agrumi – for the work behind it: collecting and passing on orders, organising everything, answering your questions.
around CHF 15 per box
Example: 9 kg box at CHF 45. Rounded guide values – shipping costs within Switzerland are shown separately (Shipping).
Why this matters to us
Amici means friends – and among friends you lay it openly on the table how things are shared.
In conventional trade, a piece of fruit passes through many hands before it ends up on the shelf. Those who grow it are often left with only a small part of the price. At Amici Agrumi there are only three stops: the farm, the journey and us.
Jessica and Emilio receive a price that values their work. Because we collect the orders first, they know even before the harvest that their fruit will be bought – and only what someone has ordered is picked. That way there is no food waste.
For us, a fair price is not an extra. It is part of the spirit of Amici Agrumi.
Our goal for the future
What we want to give back
Our fruit grows in Sicily – and that is where we want to give something back. For now it is still a plan: in future we would like to set up sustainable projects in the place where the fruit comes from. Two topics are especially close to our hearts.
-
Water
Water is scarce and precious in Sicily. The summers are getting hotter and drier – and that is exactly when the citrus trees need water. Jessica and Emilio irrigate from their own well. In future we would like to help ensure that water is used with care locally and that there is still enough for trees and people tomorrow.
-
People
Behind every box there are people: Jessica and Emilio, their family and everyone who lends a hand with the harvest. A fair price is the beginning. In future we would also like to support social projects locally – for the people who live and work there.
As soon as the time comes, we will tell you about it here and on Instagram.
