Privacy policy
This is a convenience translation. Only the German version is legally binding.
Version: September 2026. This policy is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/DSG).
1. Controller
Amici Agrumi, Cinzia Reinhard, Switzerland
ciao@amici-agrumi.ch
2. Which data we process
- Order data: name, delivery address, billing address, e-mail address, telephone number, products ordered, payment method and payment status.
- Communication: e-mails and messages that you send us, for example in the case of questions or complaints.
- Technical data: when you visit the website, the IP address, date and time, pages accessed, browser and operating system are recorded in server logs.
3. What we need the data for
- Processing your order: confirmation, harvest planning, shipping, invoice and payment.
- Customer service and answering your enquiries.
- Compliance with statutory obligations, in particular the retention of business records for ten years.
- Secure and stable operation of the website.
We do not use your data for third-party advertising and do not sell it on.
4. Service providers that process data for us
- Infomaniak Network SA, Switzerland: hosting of the website, of our customer management software and of the visitor statistics, as well as e-mail. The data is stored in Switzerland.
- Flowtifyy (KOMUNIQUE), Switzerland: shop system for products, cart and orders. Your order data is stored there.
- Payment providers: when you pay with TWINT or other online payment methods, the data required for the payment is transmitted to the respective provider. That provider’s privacy provisions apply.
- Shipping partner: for delivery, we pass on your name, address and, where necessary, telephone number or e-mail address to our shipping partner.
- Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited, Ireland, and Google LLC, USA): we advertise on Google. So that we can see which ad led to an order, a Google measurement tag is placed on every page. In the process, your IP address and the page visited are transmitted to Google. Details in section 5.
5. Cookies and visitor statistics
Necessary: the website stores in your browser what you put in the cart, and your choice if you switch off the visitor statistics. Without this information, the cart and the switch-off do not work.
Visitor statistics: using our own software, we count which pages are visited, how long they are visible and how far visitors scroll, where the visit comes from (referring website, campaign tags in the link), the device type, the browser language, the country (derived from the browser’s time zone) and the loading times of the pages. For this purpose, we store in your browser a random identifier, which we replace with a new one after 13 months, and a session identifier, which changes after 30 minutes without activity. If you click on “Add to cart”, we record with the session identifier which box it was. When you complete an order, we additionally record through which channel the visit came (for example Instagram, a Google ad or another website, with the campaign tag of the link), and store this with your order. For earlier orders, and where no channel could be identified, we also use the random identifier of your browser to look up through which earlier visit (no more than 30 days back) you found us. This shows us which advertising leads to orders. We do not link the visitor statistics themselves (pages visited, duration, device …) to your name or your address. This does not apply if you have switched off the visitor statistics.
Switching off: you can switch off the visitor statistics at any time: Switch visitor statistics on or off. The link is also at the bottom of every page. We then delete both identifiers from your browser, no longer measure and store only this choice. If your browser signals “Global Privacy Control” or “Do Not Track”, we do not count you in the first place.
The data is held on our own server at Infomaniak in Switzerland. For the visitor statistics themselves, we do not use any third-party tools and do not pass the data on. IP addresses are not stored for the statistics, and the random identifier is stored only as a non-reversible hash value. We delete the individual data after 14 months; after that, only monthly totals remain, with no link to individual visits. In doing so, we rely on our overriding interest in statistics that do not relate to individuals (Art. 31 para. 2 lit. e FADP/DSG).
Even when the statistics are switched off, we record technical error messages of the website (message, file, line), without any link to you as a person, in order to fix malfunctions. As soon as orders are processed through our own shop, we also count how often carts are created, the checkout is accessed and orders are completed – without an identifier and without storing anything in your browser.
Sharing via WhatsApp: After an order we offer you the chance to recommend Amici Agrumi. If you click «Help me fill the box», we count that click – without recording who clicked; only the time and the language of the page are stored. You send the message yourself in WhatsApp; we do not see to whom. The link in that message carries a tag that lets our statistics recognise a visit coming from a shared message – also without any link to a person.
Customer survey after delivery: after a delivery, we invite you once by e-mail to take part in a voluntary survey (age group, how you found us, satisfaction, whether you would order again, suggestions for improvement). We store the answers anonymously on our server in Switzerland: without name, e-mail address, IP address or order number, only with the date and the delivery round. We automatically remove e-mail addresses and telephone numbers from free-text answers. We retain the answers for 36 months. You receive the invitation because you have ordered from us; if you do not wish to receive any more, a short reply to the e-mail is sufficient.
Google Ads: we advertise on Google. So that we can see which ad led to an order, a Google measurement tag (“gtag.js”, advertising account AW-18472618680) is placed on every page of the website. It stores an identifier in your browser (cookie, such as “_gcl_au”) and transmits your IP address, the page visited and the time to Google Ireland Limited or Google LLC in the USA, as the case may be. We ourselves see only totals from this – which campaign led to how many orders – and no information about individual persons. You can switch off personalised advertising at Google (myadcenter.google.com) or block third-party cookies in your browser; the website then works unchanged. We do not use any other advertising tools.
6. Transfer of data abroad
Some service providers have their registered office in the USA. The transfer is based on the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on the standard contractual clauses recognised by the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.
7. Retention
We retain your data for as long as is necessary to process your order or as statutory retention obligations require. After that, it is deleted or anonymised.
8. Your rights
You have the right to information about your data, to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and to receive your data in a commonly used format. To exercise these rights, write to us at ciao@amici-agrumi.ch. You can also lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC/EDÖB).
9. Data security
The website and the shop are delivered over an encrypted connection (TLS). We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures.
10. Amendments
We may amend this privacy policy. The version published on the website at the time applies.
